But now that they have "found" alien life more than once, there seems to be a greater possibility that there is life outside of earth.

What does you think Bob is? o_O

He's too singer-songwriter.

I'll go with Faun.

Oh I see, you're talking about prog-folk then.

Hmm.

Very cool.  It'll be interesting to see how this develops.

Mark me down as skeptical.

Me too.  Although I'm on the fence.

I have no problem believing life exists on other planets (but mostly as organisms or plants) and even on asteroids and the like.  However, any life on other planets would have developed separately to life on Earth.  We are not "aliens".  Our life formed on Earth and will end on Earth.

If these are lifeforms, then they're probably originating on Earth as well.  Despite what the dude says.

Not that I am Astro-Physicist.

I've just changed my mind.

I'm watching a science programme at the moment and apparently creation of life can only occur in a very tiny window of time.

Why exactly do you believe that the life in the asteroids formed on Earth?  The article doesn't even give the age of these asteroids, so for all we know they could be some of the older ones - last semester, we learned in my astro class that some asteroids which hit the Earth are at least as old as the solar system.  If these are that old (or older), I don't see any reason to believe that the fossils would have to be from Earth, or even if they're younger for that matter.  Still, as with you and Pat, I'm skeptical until the other experts chime in.

I'd agree that I'm probably skeptical on this one as well, but I don't think it'd be implausible for it to be actual extraterrestrial life either.  Or the remnants of it, rather.

Also, I have no doubt that there has to be some other form of life outside Earth.  It doesn't seem likely that we would be the only form of life out there, given how incredibly huge the universe is.  Even with such a tiny window for the origin of life, there's too much unaccounted for out there.
