There are, but PA have much more members than MMA and most of the actual members are genre collabs, so most of their time they are either in the collab zone or doing sh*t throughout the site. There isn't a team to check in the site like here (site monitoring or something like that), so some stuff eventually goes overlooked.

thanks James, I was hoping you'd suggest something .. on the other hand it's near impossible to recommend albums to another person by a band such as Magma, so I didn't ask--  I'll put Kohntarkosz on my list of possibilities, I they deserve another chance

It would have been better to start a Jazz archives, but there's probably a serviceable website for that anyway.

There is a Jazz Archives in the making, it's not currently online though.

I don't like Magma. :| Wayside Music and Synphonic are probably your best bets for good prices, although you can the MP3s relatively cheap on eMusic and Amazon, I would recommend Amazon over eMusic because eMusic is relatively low bitrate and a farking pain in the ass.

Nope! I'm not sure it will ever reach PA levels of activity, and if it does it's going to take years. The internet is saturated with places to talk about metal. I have a little more hope for Jazz Archives because I've never found a good forum for general jazz, especially avant stuff. I Hate Music is the only really avant site I've seen, but they're primarily EAI fans.

Yeah Caio, I'll probably PM someone tomorrow. Maybe I'll even try to get off moderation, although it hardly seems worth the effort.

I think the main reason MMA was started was to start a fresh forum that isn't full of a****les.  Other than that, I agree.
