The f**k? Is your looking around real? Like your eyes can't be open or some sh*t. Sounds like a bad trip, which kinda makes me want to believe the whole Pineal Gland/DMT/dreaming thing..but that's hippie junk for another day. I'll get a notebook and pen ready and say it to myself before I sleep. Let's see what happens in some time. Edited by JJLehto - January 31 2011 at 03:28 |

Yeah, your eyes are open although your body can't move. That's why it's so horrible and frightening, your body stimulates your senses as if in a dream except you can look around.
This explains it all pretty well. |

I mean I've woken up and still been sleep paralyzed for a few seconds, but I deff couldn't see. In fact I recall just white and what I thought were noises. I kinda fought my body to move but couldn't.
This happened after a dream though (a WEIRD one) so that was natural. What you said sounds like you are in some wake/sleep state. |

Yeah, it's in between sleep and being awake. Your body acts as if it's asleep but your senses can recieve both in-dream and real life stimulus, making it really traumatic and f**ked up. |

Yeah I'm not sure I want to remember my dreams. But it sounds pretty cool.

I have fortunately never had sleep paralysis, and I usually remember at least some of my dreams.
I have no idea why I have been crippled with anxiety all night but here we are at 5am whooooops. |

Hey me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm fascinated by sleep paralysis. I want to experience it out of curiosity, but I"m terrified of it actually happening. |

I'm finally getting decent sleep since I've moved. I used to be plagued by insanely vivid and long dreams that made it feel like I hadn't slept at all. |

I always have those. The only way for me to eliminate them is to be drunk. But that in itself causes me to have sleeplessness.
I've just learned not to sleep much. |

And add to my situation two young children, neither of whom seem to require much sleep.

It seems like alcohol solves both of our problems then.

Signs of pregnancy: Nausea, Headaches, Dizziness and fainting spells, Mood swings, Food cravings, Weight gain... Funny how consuming alcohol and being pregnant involve the same symptoms. |

One is responsible for the other often times so it's fitting.

I got it once for a good hour, it wasn’t very pleasant, though it was much scarier waking up and realizing what had happened. Oh, and hey James McP, long time no see. FFFFFFFF gotta go to class, we’d better get that two feet of snow soon.
