I don't know if anyone here is into Wishbone Ash? I've loved them for years. Prior to me forming a Budgie tribute band, I formed a Wishbone Ash tribute band called Phoenix Rising in 2005. Here is my old band playing Persephone....
sorry about the filming quality.

I really enjoyed it! Very professional. That's you on bass? Excellent!  I've always wanted to do a cover version of "The Pilgrim". All great players in your band. I'm very impressed but I'm also very depressed because I need to be at least a little active with someone. There are some videos of me performing with cover bands on YOU TUBE that were probably placed there by camera people. Some of the bands are shameful but I've used excerpts of my guitar soloing from those videos to grab opportunity auditions on Greg's List. It's always been a bit tough especially in the last 20 years to play covers of English bands here in the U.S. Sorry for the dread, you guys are great!

Yes that is me on bass basically playing the track in my own way rather than straight copying Martin Turner.
The video on Youtube of Persephone is much better than Blind Eye I think, but I can remember that it was a poor gig by the standards we set ourselves, not helped by the fact we were very nervous because two members of Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash were watching! Shocked  That must be an old video because it does not have our last drummer on it (who was awesome) so it must be well over 4 years ago now. The band disbanded over 3 years ago, and the guitarist John Shaw on the right of the picture is now the drummer in our Budgie tribute band!
Glad you enjoyed it anyway!

Nice covers !    Clap
And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun

The first song I ever played with a band was Wishbone Ashe's Jailbait.  Ours was a long jammed out version.....back in the day
Which of you to gain me, tell, will risk uncertain pains of hell?
I will not forgive you if you will not take the chance.

Yeah it's certainly a good one to jam to, we used to jam it as well, usually as one of the encore's.

Yes I noticed that this morning! thank you very much! Cool I still think the Persephone video is better than Blind Eye.
It's a pity there are not better video's of my old band on Youtube but hey ho......  the track Handy (from WA first album) was always fun to play with this band.
