Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

That. But I'd say hipsters...I've grown used to accepting/ignoring mainstreamers. To each their own. Also, there are many more of them  Hipsters though are attention whores and do everything to be different and ironic and pretentious. Ironic they are closely related in mindset to much of us (myself included) and I hate em more!
