How's this one, Pablo? It's been long on my wish-list... |

Various songs by the goth rock band X-Mal Deutschland on youtube. The german Siouxsie & the Banshees. Currently listening to "incubus succubus" from their debut EP, I am a bit bored by the repetitive music and the vocalist irritates me. But 'Tocsin', their second full-length LP, is considered their masterpiece, so I will pay more attention to songs from this album.

Now, after 3 songs, I can say that 'Tocsin' is indeed a great improvement on their debut.

Some Thumpermonkey Lives! albums. Free downloads they are too (not We Bake Our Bread Beneath Her Holy Fire though). David Bowie meets Napalm Death. Bizarre, but it works.

I really like it, I prefer it to Bitches Brew by a wide margin, but it's actually very different to it. It's way more rock and sort-of funk in parts, but it's still the incredible huge line-up featured in both previous records plus others.
You do have Get Up With It and/or Big Fun, don't you Tuz? If you liked those and the more jam/rockin' stuff from other live 70s Miles, Live Evil is a must.
To sum it up, get it if you're a fan of 70s Davis, which I think you already are. It's different and shows the progression from Bitches Brew to the later even moe "experimental" stuff.
I got it for 10 dollars, seemed a reasonable price for 2 CD set. Edited by The Quiet One - January 09 2011 at 14:16 |

A friend of mine saw G-Man in Paris recently. He found the show very exciting.
Regarding that danse society album I am currently listening to, that's one of the best goth rock thing I ever heard, somewhere between Clan Of Xymox and the darkest moments of The Cure's 'desintegration'.
