On the contrary, Matt, from what I've inferred techno only sounds good when you're high.

Here are some pretentious games if you would like. I don't know about the others, but p0nd and One Chance sucked.

Well AMG calls them techno, but they're a bit stupid about subgenres so whatever. The same thing applies for house and trance, really. :P

I wasn't going to disagree about house and trance, but there is techno that I like.

Mom bought herself Donkey Kong Country Returns for her Wii - I've just played ~53% of the game.

So I finally looked at the Honor Thy Drummer thread.

This is hilarious. Why do so many prog metal musicians choose to be so silly?

Oh, no!

Oh, no!

That is the kind of prog metal I do not like.

can't sleep, get online, check Shred Room, progmetal bashing.

Thanks gaize.

Also, this is probably the best piece of philosophy I have ever seen around the web:

Every Woman is a Tree

..they both give you wood!

Same.  It's not serious or mature, really, and just sounds dumb.

I'm sorry, but that's a horrible song/video. My comment was more about all the prog metal bands who go for that sound/aesthetic than prog metal itself. Speaking of other baffling artistic choices:

Why do laugh tracks still exist?

I won't debate that they aren' t the best band around. And I'm actually quite surprised that nobody yet commented that it sounds like Dream Theater version 0.6.

Also, laugh tracks are there to makethe dummies laugh at the parts they are supposed, as well as to make the show artificially funny. So many "comedy" shows there days would be a complete flop without those. I remember watching a sample of that show Big Bang Theory without the laugh tracks and it did seemed more boring than usual.

Yeah, laughtracks should be dead.  If the show isn't funny enough to make you laugh without a laughtrack, then the writers need to step back and change that.

Except for the Red Green show.  I liked that show a lot, watched it all the time when I was younger.

Heck, I still like it, and I watch it if it's ever on PBS.  He did do some pretty goddamn funny things with the Handyman's Secret Weapon.

Also, I usually don't ever play online games, but I found I really enjoyed this one.  It's almost relaxing.
