Here's a song from American organist Larry Young(Jazz Rock/Fusion). He worked with a lot of famous people but is not so well known himself. This song is called "Message From Mars" from hid 1976 album Spaceball:

I was just listening to their first album Pljuni Istini U Oci yesterday, which is quite good. I still need to get my hands on this album.

^What a coincidence.

Got 3 more songs from my list of 25. Now a song from Italian group New Trolls(Rock Progressivo Italiano). Don't think these guys are too obscure to Italians or fans of RPI. This is the song "Le Roi Soleil" from the 1976 album Concerto Grosso N. II. Check it out:

Enjoy!

Well I'm gonna keep going, but now I'm going to post songs by groups that I am actually familiar with but your average PAer may not be. I just noticed that I never picked a Zeuhl song yet, I guess I forgot because I'm almost a Zeuhl expert at this point; very familiar with this sub-genre.<p>

So here's a song from French band Zao. They were formed by two former members of Magma. Taken from their debut album from 1973 called Z=7L. At some point I will get around to reviewing this album. This song is called "Marochsek"...check it out:

I'm not going to comment on all the tracks mentioned, though I know them, but I'll second the recommendation for Kultivator's (whose album was reissued some time ago, though over-priced), Unexpect (great erratic and crazy metal), Goblin and Art Zoyd of course.

Well I'm pretty much done. I got one more song and I'll call it a year. Might post more next year, we'll see.

Happy New Year and please continue with this sort of threads.

I used to do loads of threads recommending albums/bands and got little to no response (and not much thread views), but then a few people would discover something new as they later told me and also in the end I do it to just share my love of the music and send out these recommendations in the hopes someone else might like it.

Oh, and kudos for this thread and for the wide range of songs and styles featured.

Ok heard of these guys but not this song. Some weird stuff in the intro, sounds like someone munching crisps, then it gets going into a nice melodic guitar picking motif. some crashes follow on sustained instruements. the keyboards sound great, very retro sounding actually, Emerson would feel at home here, ambient textures, shimmering guitars ....

Happy New Year to both of you. I'm starting to run out of streaming songs from this siteLOL

I notice your rec's Alex, I check them out when I get the chance. So much "free" music, so little time.
