unfortunately, no system if abuse-proff. I was more thinking about it as a way to aprove/dissaprove. eg: i dont like some revierws point of view on one of my favorite albums of the year. but i cant do a thing about it, but write my own, which i did already.
Oh damn! i though noone would notice. I realise it was more like a rant, i was kinda pissed because when i got it it was quite high in the charts and i felt robbed  . and it is better than 2 or 3 of his, which i rated with 1 star, so...It has nothing to do with the fact that Guy contacted me the next day to ask why

1. That's right I am an Amateur (evenings and weekends only) but I DO work hard at it in my spare time!
2. I only spend a lot of time here when my name is being used in conjunction with "bad stuff"...rest of the time I
am usually too busy to hang out
3. I actually really like this site. I have got a lot of very useful tips on other bands/artists and their best albums here...that is why I use it..but I always check out samples first to make sure it is not hype and to my tastes
4. I think I worry about both 1* reviews and 5* reviews...but I would prefer to get 5* (of course!) given a choice!
When I get a 1* I look to see what that reviewer likes as well. If they are a Prog Metal head then I understand their POV i.e. my stuff is never going to be for them...so fair enough |

I think it is time to let off on the GuyM bashing, give evidence even if some of us think the obvious. He has a point, a simple request for evidence like IP addys/source files or back off nicely? But the multitude of requests he has made has created nothing but ducking and diving from some quarters.

I actually did just this in a previous thread that was deleted. And to do it again is in fact GuyM bashing so... Again, the evidence for a pattern is obvious. As far as I know there is no evidence directly linking the artist to the reviews but I don't know if there ever would be. I'm going to get the album and review it. That's my only real role here. In itself there is nothing "against the rules" in what that user has done here - morally wrong and a bit naughty by all means, but not illegal as such - it could be genuine - he really could have listened to all 15 albums and only liked one of them.
Yes, we can all see that is very probably not the truth of the matter, and he is deliberately smacking all those albums above his beloved Echoes CD in the Top 100 chart, and we can guess with a high degree of certainty that he hasn't heard all of the other 14, possibly even any of them. But we cannot PROVE that.
However, A quick IP check and it seems that this user has two accounts:
 ECHOES Nature/Existence(rating only)That's what I call conclusive proof of deliberate manipulation.
Guilty as charged - off with his head.
Not difficult is it?
