I think I may prefer this to Jean Louis.

I don't know about that, but there's definitely a zappa-big-band-esque vibe to it which is probably why you prefer it

PS: Meshuggah use em if that means anything to ya.

It means a bit but I want something that has nice cleans too, hehe.  I need to do some research first.

for nice cleans you just need a 2nd guitar with single coils

Judging by the looks, Gibson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fenders. Even the Danelectro, from the other classic rock guitars, looks better than Fenders to me. Between the Fenders, though, I have a preference for Teles. They're so ugly that I kinda like them. Jimmy Page's hippie Tele, with flower designs on it, from before we turned to Gibson, is quite cool.

RE their qualities as music instruments, I don't have the slightest clue what are their pros and cons.

Telecasters are perfect for country music.

I play a white Strat and an Ibanez semi-hollow bodied most of the time.

Too poor for a Gibson, but the ones I played weren't that great.

I have my eye on a Parker Fly.  Weighs less than a newborn baby and sounds amazing.
Parker is for pop music basically, the sound is pretty much plastic and a little thin, so it's good if that's what you want.

Gibson, only if you play blues like a master, they are excellent for bends and warm chords, but awful for heavy riffing... I have played with many Gibson in my life and I have to say, no comparisson, Ibanez is way better, but of course, I want to play heavy rock... I would want to buy a Parker, for a less heavy project, but that's only a dream... no money, no Parker... Unhappy

Have you actually tried a Parker Fly?  I have.  What a mistake.  I drool on myself just thinking about the tones and playability of that guitar.

I should note that Adrian Belew plays one.

Santa, if you're paying attention:

I barely even play guitar, but I would kill to have that. Thumbs Up
Sadly, I haven't, I do want to put my hands over a Fly, but there are none in Guatemala, and of course, I will buy an Ibanez just for the costs, but yes, one day you will buy it Rob, and I will visit you someday so I will try it, k?

It's $3,000.

The day I can afford one, I will fly you and your girlfriend to my home and feed you steak and Samuel Adams.
OK... I get a girlfriend and you get that, K? Handshake

(Though I think it will be less expensive for you than for me...)
Change the program inside... Stay in silence is a crime.

I'd assume the Lundgrens have a good clean tone as well as the dirt tones. Research is a good idea.

I think i'm gonna get this as soon as i sell my Schecter Hellraiser Tempest (I own a C-1 Classic and a C-1 Blackjack 08' and i much prefer those). Maybe 6 months/1 year down the track I'll get some Lundgrens.

Know anything about guitars, Anthony doesn't. The fact that the Shred has been talking about them literally all day, irate that makes him.

Not a huge fan of 8-strings.  7-strings, on the other hand... hoo baby!

It contains some sexy electric trumpet. If everybody was talking about electric trumpets, than I'd be okay with it.

Mmm, Agiles.  I might be interested in one for my second 8 string.  I only worry about that one because it doesn't have a neck pickup.

Yes I think that the folks from Tech Talk got confused and wondered into the wrong room. LOL  These discussions are way to music techie for the Shred Room.

I wants a 7 string too. Probs not a pendulum though (although the concept is fairly interesting...)

I'd either get a Schecter Hellraiser C-7, Blackjack ATX C-7 or this http://www.rondomusic.com/septorelite727dncebleft.html
