Fairport Convention was one of the very first and greatest progressive folk outfits, and they're conspicuously absent.  It's hard to believe you have prog-folk listed here and not Fairport Convention.  If you guys agree on adding them, I can provide a bio.

I'd disagree with this one - FC are/were a superb band, but apart from a very few tracks (mostly from the Maartin Allcock period), I don't think I'd consider them prog-folk.

Wont stop me being at Cropredy, though...

Agree with Jim here, FC were great, especially during the What We Did On Out Holidays - Unhalfbricking - Liege And Lief - Full House - Babacombe Lee phase ... but I'd hardly call any of it prog ... simply top drawer folk-rock like The Byrds, Steeleye Span, Simon And Garfunkel, Lindisfarne ... isn't the same as prog-folk to me ...

In fact I'll admit that aside from a couple of songs like Ghosts, I don't really think the Strawbs are a prog-folk outfit ...

I love 'em all though .....

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."
