Too perfect to pick - hilarious!

Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974, it's a scientific fact.

I don't know if this is the intention, but I take this serious now. I vote for King Crimson.

Hi,
I would say you can't simply... compare these bands... as if they're two medium sized... apartments! Both bands have a very different... style and approach... and beliefs of expression! I saw King Crimson... live in 1973... and I would say Robert Fripp clearly... showed his awareness of... what grace music... could get from a simple breath... of man! As for Kiss... they tend to focus too much on their image. They are a popular band... and of course that brings a burden! But you can't judge them... for such a thing! That would... be a disrespectful thing to do... but apparently its a very... common thing in this modern world! I think the creator of this poll... shows his worrisome views here. He tends to think too much... in genres... and loses the monocle to see... music's true beauty! Whether you like a band or not... you should not be subjective... in your discovery of new music. Some people... do so... and end up wrapping themselves... in foil! Like when they grow up... with a blue coloured spine! But at the end of the day... this goes for all forms of art... or all forms of beauty in life actually! If you're then still going on about comparing... and labeling! you forgot... dr. pepper!
If you look outside now... at the sky and the streets even! You will hear... may people say the days are gone... the glory days! But I think... that is only a reflection... of the mentality of people in modern times! That also... is what you find in the coldness... of mass produced music... like britany spears! They are loved... by many people... but would they have been loved... some 40 years ago? I'm not so sure about that! You once more... prove this mentality change... by the endless... comparing and boxing! I don't... remember... anybody in my young days... wanting to know who people liked more... kiss! or king crimson... or for that matter... both Tchaikovsky and Nixon! They were... more about the enjoyment value... of art... rather than the idea... of being intellectual or sturdy!
I think... I have made my point! I hope you will... learn how to objectively judge music... sooner or later! Otherwise... no way you can enjoy... an artform without... spitting at the door! Or the walls... for that matter!

When I was in high school one of my fellow students was a big Kiss fan when I first met him. I was a big prog fan and one of my favorites was The Dixie Dregs. Ran into him a couple of years later and he had become a big Dregs fan. I am still not a Kiss fan to this day, so I'm going to have to vote for Kiss.

They're good, but they failed to include one of the most defining elements in all of Moshkito's posts: The 'prog' vs 'progressive' element.

I think this poll would be quite interesting on a general all types of music forum.
