Honestly, the first time I ever properly drank was when I was 18 at a college party (big surprise I know). The only times I ever really drink are at various family events. In a month however, it will probably be slightly more often than that.

If you're going to get drunk, get drunk with a small group of friends. I've heard of and seen bad experiences from people being unsupervised and wasted and it's good to have some friends (preferably one or two who are sober) to watch out for the ones who do get wasted or drink.
