^ There were no ratings/reviews for any of the two entries so he modified one of them into an album of another band, an album that he was already preparing to add.

I added many Pooh's albums lately.

Unfortunately IL COLORE DEI PENSIERI album (1987) has been added twice. One has to be deleted.

My previous post seemed to have been ignored so this is a friendly reminder.

Thanks, Rune2000, I'll ask admins to delete Agents of Mercy entry (it has the same review as at Karmakanic page).

Thanks!
This type of "split" duplicate entry got me thinking about a possibility of linking the same album page to two different artist/band profiles. I don't see why this would be much of a problem to manage, or am I mistaken?
Another album that could use this type of adjustment is the sountrack to "La Chiesa", featuring music by Goblin and Keith Emerson (currently filed under Goblin although there is also a Various Artists entry).
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=2663

I'm sure that there are many other examples of this. At the same time, it's important to draw a clear line between what should be considered Various Artists compilations and "splits" between a few artists.

Edit: what about the new Anderson/Wakeman release?

According to current rules Anderson/Wakeman album "belongs" to Anderson because his name is printed first. Or, if the duo will be on PA as a separate entry, to Anderson - Wakeman.

I had once the same idea, I called it "shared" albums (Goblin - Emerson, Hensley - Wetton, and so on and on):
- such albums, with their reviews and ratings appear at all involved artists' pages automatically.
In other words, if you submit your "La chiesa" review at Goblin page, it will immedeately appear at Emerson's page as well.

Looks nice, but, as Easy Livin' explained me, it's probably not so easy to do (implement the feature, modify ratings' calculation algorithm, test, fix probable bugs etc.).

Anyway, we can ask M@X what does he think about it.

^ the CD has 4 extra cuts and 2 extra little blurbs, that seems like enough for a seperate entry.

Agreed, there's nothing there that can't be specified in the entry for the original album.

Same album added two times:

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=14260

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=12248

I think original release date is 1994 (the one with review)

^ Not 1992 as in the second entry you listed?

Another duplicate entry based on the same issue that I mentioned earlier:
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=26973
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=26971

This time it was actually the same user adding this release to both discographies, hence the similar album id's. Who can blame him? It does make sense!

This issue has to be dealt with. Unhappy

This might be a duplicate entry issue, even though I'm still waiting for someone to answer my previous post *hint* *hint*

I use the RSS feed of the latest reviews on PA and saw this among the latest reviews:
3 "Touch and Go" (Crossover Prog, 1986) by mohaveman

I though - stop right there, this is an ELP(owell) single isn't it?
Yes it is, the proof is right there. Still, if you search for "3" in the PA search, you'll notice that the fourth link that will show up will say "3 Touch and Go music reviews and MP3".
