How do you know they have not listened to all three artists at one time or another? Who are these "some people"...do you know?

You should - they are brilliant. For advice on all things RPI, go to the RPI appreciation thread. I did, and it opened up a whole new world for me.

I think any new polls should be done via snail mail from now on........or PA should charge USD100 per vote.

+1, definatly. RPI is one of the best of the subgenres, IMO.  Epic songs, well crafted song writing skills, exceptional instrumentation, musicianship at its highest...its intense.

How about a Yes/Genesis hybrid which we could call Yesesis?  That way, the tie will be broken and the new hybrid band can move forward!  Thumbs Up  (With apologies to PFM and their fans.)

Then we'd have to make Pink Crimson to compensate.

Well, I guess it would be rather unfair that only those people who have heard PFM can have their vote about whe among Genesis and Yes can move on. In the end, this poll is really about whom of those 2 will go on. As a matter of fact, the winner of this whole tournament, as far as this polls have shown us, should be a tie between Genesis and Yes (well, of course, unless King Crimson and Pink Floyd have something to say about it). Perhaps the best way to break the tie would be having the Semi-Finals as Pink Floyd VS Genesis and King Crimson VS Yes, and then have both winners in the final (and all of us would be damned if both Genesis and Yes won their respective matches, or if both semifinals would prove unable to get a clear winner).

Admittedly, I’m more familiar with Genesis and Yes than PFM. Still I know them well enough to have an opinion:

1) PFM are an extraordinary band with some outstanding music. Yet,
2) for me, Genesis are better. Not much better, just better.

In a poll between PFM and Yes I might vote for PFM, just for the sake of it. Yes would still have won.

I say nothing is nothing

and eliminate Genesis and Yes because of their lack of ability to win a poll... for the third time in a row.

I think its time to take this into consideration.

May i recommend the 2nd and 3rd album by PFM (their first, debut, is terrible haha).  Both are exceptional masterpieces of RPI.
