Thanks Richard  - quite beautiful. I'd never heard that before.

Now, if only Chris S could replace Benoit with Annie, I might go and see them againWink
That would be interestingThumbs Up

Anyway I've got the 'real thing' to look forward to - Anderson and Wakeman at the Colston Hall in NovemberBig smile

yeah, we saw them at St Davids Hall, Cardiff the last tour, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Colston Hall is the nearest venue to us for this tour (no Welsh gigs), but we haven't finally decided yet.

I really got to get that album... however, I'm not sure I would say this is better or more beautiful than the original. Sure Haslam's voice is beyond great... but so is Anderson's (I would have a hard time choosing my favourite of them both), and the Haslam/Howe lacks the rest of the instruments, specially keyboards.

There are so many of course, but one that always springs immediately to mind is  Steve Hackett's "Walking Away From Rainbows".

For me, Camel's La Princesse Perdue is definitely up there, as are King Crimson's Starless, Lizard, and Lark's Tongues pts. 1 & 2 (is that cheating?). Radiohead's Pyramid Song nearly brought me to tears when I first heard it.

Good choices^

I think Mahavishnu Orchestra's  "Lotus on Irish Streams" is a very beautiful piece.

^I´m sorry, but you typed "Most Beautiful Piece Of Music", thus I mean the music generally, not Prog Rock only.

Anyone else hear references to this in some of the Larks' Tongues in Aspic performances from The Great Deceiver?  Quite beautiful in its own right.

In progressive rock, it's definetly the begining of Dancing with the Moonlit Knight and Aisle of the Plenty.
