Yes, also the mafia is serious business. Why would someone sign up if they could not commit?

I think a lot of the people probably forgot about it.
Addressing this concern... I would automatically replace individuals who do not keep up with the game at all and do not respond to a warning PM---because that's disrespectful to me and it's disrespectful to the other players. Thankfully, I have yet to force replace anyone.
On the flip side, Ireally want some people to come in and participate more. There's only so much I can do as a host to encourage participation.

I'm fairly certain Alex randomized all the roles.
I'm going to make this clear:
Yes,
I did completely randomize all of the roles; there were no alterations. Every single player was randomly assigned a role using a
number generation method.
fair enough - I have played enough games to know that sometimes hosts choose to make random role assignments "with tweeks" - it's a viable and understandable hosting decision - especially in a game that has the weird dynamic this one does. what would have happened if the random had made me - svs - nutella- cubia and 3lb all on the same baddie team? I just assumed that the alex would have taken that into concideration - it may not have been an issue - maybe the random balanced it's self out. -
Just seemed a fair idea to me. Sorry it was wrong.
It is a viable decision, of course! I just decided not to go with it unless in absolute emergency. I randomized and it worked out fine, so I kept it that way.
The only way I would have even considered messing with the randomization is if, as you said, just 1 Mafia team had become INCREDIBLY unblanaced. Even then I would have hesitated, but for a first game like this for most participants, I would have considered it.
But, like I said, I completely randomized and I fortunately did not run into absolute disaster with it. For every game here on out, there will not even be any consideration of any alteration.
tis always good to know how the host thinks - thanks for the clarification. - as I said - different hosts make different decisions. - ;) - each game is new - but tis hard to put past experiences out of one's head w/o knowing how it goes. :)

also- I really REALLY want to hear from 3LB - there's not one post since I joined this game from here and according to the night post no missing pms - she could have a role that didn't require a pm - but I would still just *really* *really* like to hear from her before I get all freeked out about it.
Yes, those are the two I most want to hear from as well~ Lizzy 7 3LB.
And a lot of the locals are flying under the radar~ but that could just be that the idea presented in the sign up thread and the reality of the game were two different things for them, and it just didn;t capture the imagination. So that makes me want to cut them some slack, BUT baddies could be hiding in plain sight that way as well. ' So i am conflicted.
outside of lizzy and 3LB - the problem I'm having is that the "regulars" to the forum - seem to be most active in off topic/shred.
several seem to post - but ya know - it lacks content.

*crooks an eyebrow*
mafia is srrsbsns is it?
Ha, I was joking about the game and... Ugh, if you have suspicion now not sure there's much I can do to sway you.
But you may regret any actions....
you could have stumbled accidently onto a phrase that is tossed around *lots* in mafia. *or* you could have bts with someone who used the phrase before. - it IS serious business. And I *do* have suspish of you. - not enough to vote you - but enough for me to keep my eye on you.
