I'd say that w could make different style for the albums that are not in the artist's overall style.

Poor grammar and tired proposals?
Better start watching your back around here.

^ I think he's talking about putting a sub-tag on the specific albums of a band, separate from the band's main genre.
For instance, Genesis' early albums would have ''Symph Prog'' written beneath them, but the post-Gabriel stuff would have ''Crossover'' or ''Prog-Pop'' written there instead, but the band themselves would remain categorized properly under Symph.

Sounds like something they do on RateYourMusic. Must we venture down that route? What's next? A streamlined design?

Well in facts, I've got a poor grammar being a french guy from Quebec. The point is, it was only an idea to put sub-genres to the albums of a same group. That's all. I don't think it will happen but still it's a suggestion to show people that a group can make it's way by using many subgenres of prog rock. Sorry if you didn't take it.

I'm just kidding around with you, man.
But yeah . . . I doubt this suggestion will ever be put into practice on this site. We're too far 'in' to things now to re-work the entire categorization system.

Yeah, MMA has no single sub genre for an artist, it's all done by album. |

I think the system there is great, but applying it here would take masses of work.

^ Not to mention that for every guy here who thinks it's ''great'', there's somebody else like me who thinks it sucks. We're divided enough already, we don't need yet another controversial site feature to piss us off. Hell, putting collages on the front page nearly sparked a revolution.

I understand it's a lot of work. I won't argue to have that and I know there's lot of work going on on Progarchives. Thanks to let me know about it.
