Usually if the leader dies, the kill power passes down to the surviving team members.

A question about the game;  what happens once the Mafia's "killers" are gone?  Can the teams then only win by slowly lynching every remaining good/independent character?

Well, we have time, hopefully some or all of them will show up. If more than one of them don't, I will be less likely to vote for a new convert, um, player, yeah, that's it, on Day One, for being a no show, or missing the vote.

You vote for the player (the screennamed individual). Each participant is playing their role, but the participant/player is the focus. The role is like a costume or a role in a play, if that makes sense.

You vote for someone who is playing. You ask questions, and you try to determine based on what the host says in his posts and what people say in the thread who may be bad.

Yeah, basically, but when I'm a player I personally hate randomizing my vote (it feels like I'm throwing a dart and the chances of lynching a civvie are higher than Mafia/indie). So I usually try to see if I feel more comfortable voting for someone based on any of their posts/actions (or by lack of posts). As the game goes on, you get more actuality in your feelings behind evaluating other players, and perhaps some visible concrete evidence in posts or decisions by the players.

Gotta love Day 1.

And now I will not contribute much more to the discussion unless there are questions for me; I will resume my duties as host rather than as a colleague. I'm just trying to help out by providing perspective because I remember how it was to be a new player ("what the hell do I do?").


I will not be around much today because I have classes until 9:00PM. Just warning you guys now, so I'll have to answer any questions or anything else after that time.
