The Cozmik Orkestrah is my latest musical venture, a three-piece band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. An off-shoot of Hobo Trashcan Fire; has a few similarities musically.

We have recorded and released through Bandcamp.com two EPs, each of them entirely conceived and recorded in a single Sunday evening.  We are an experimental jam band.   Every track we have was written as it was being recorded - no composing to speak of, pure jamming.  Barely any pre-recording discussion, we just press "record" and commence playing.  Results are often funky, which is baffling because none of us plays any funk.

Here we are on facebook and here we are on Bandcamp, where our first two EPs can be downloaded for free

enjoy question mark

Just finished Spontanious Fingerfood. Also, is the bassline from the last track from an HTFC track? I remember hearing this somewhere before, I think on your myspace.

we used to have that song on HTcF's page, because it was recorded back in May before TCO existed, but as it was just the three of us that day and we weren't planning on using it for HTcF, we yanked it over here

what did you think?

Really liked it, gonna give it another spin later tonight. Goddamn you guys are good, wish I could even improv a little. Shall download the other one now.

Also, you guys should do more longer tracks, the last two were easily my favourites.

Yeah, it was my favourite I mostly like longer tracks when it comes to stuff like this (if I like it at all).

Will give the other one a listen this evening.
