1. Moonmadness
2. Animals
3. Wind & Wuthering
4. Still Life
5. Rain Dances
All those 4/5 stars material and favorites of mine. There's a lot of others which I love that are out of the list which belong to the fusion category mainly.

Going for the one, for me. It is every bit as good as any of their previous albums, indeed better than a few. It could even be their most consistent album. And in Awaken, there is a piece of music which is genius. Wondeful, just wonderful. Music of the gods!!

Trick of the Tail was recorded and mixed at Trident Studios in October/November 1975. Band could release it even in 1977 but it wouldn't change anything - this album belongs to the "classic era".

Ok, you are right, but if guide myself by what PA says, it says 1976. I don't know about that of a classic era finishing in 1975. Seems to be an opinion, but maybe I'm wrong.

Other-the only solo album by former Triumvirat guitarist/singer the late Helmut Koellen called "You Won't See Me", recorded in late 1976-early 1977 and released in the fall of '77
the back of the album cover sums it up nicely-"these songs are plainly beautiful" for me, this record is in a class by itself, and is very special |

Great list. Almost all the prog masterpieces of the era are present here, only Hemispheres is missing. Never mind. My favourite beyond doubt on this list, and one of the very few really good albums from the barren year 1979, is Danger Money. Edited by someone_else - September 27 2010 at 16:30 |

Leftoverture, although I have to admit Animals and AFTK were really close behind.

a close second for me would be guitarist Dirk Steffens first solo album "The Seventh Step", released in 1977
it is a really great album, however you look at it |

Ok, no problem. English is not my language too, but I think that it is a right word. Unless I understand what you are trying to say.

The Univers Zero debut really depresses me and I've heard Heresie is even darker... ![]() Big thumbs up for the Muffins' Manna album. The Frith era stuff is rather grating. |

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
