Cloudkicker is awesome. I'd put him above Neurosis.

I've not even heard of Rosetta. I also still need to buy some Cult of Luna

Uh, get Somewhere Along the Highway before you do anything. Even breathing. You will be devastated by the best soundscapes and atmospheres ever made.
Rosetta are a very spacey, astral post-metal band with lots and LOTS of layers and some hardcore influences. Their first album is an excellent double album that actually requires you to listen to both discs at the same time for amazing effect. They describe themselves as "astronaut metal".
Sh*t, I forgot about Cloudkicker too.

Im still new to post metal....is there really any difference between them all?
|
... ... JJ, you insult me. I only added the big names too, there are a ton of excellent underground post-metal bands. The best ones all have a unique fair or sound, and at the very least the more generic ones still make you feel good.

Neurosis have some great stuff and I think they're very under-appreciated on this website, but there are like 4 or 5 post-metal bands I like better |
exactly I'd say, Russian Circles, Isis, Pelican, Red Sparowes (if you consider them metal), and Baroness (if you consider them post-) I guess Cult of Luna too, although I haven't heard much of theirs This guy also refuses to listen to any instrumental metal. I've stopped trying to talk to him about music

Aye, and you saw it was on my 15 in 15 list. I know a guy who refuses to listen to any Isis later than The Red Sea on the basis that:
