"Pompous idiot" was as close as I could get to "insufferable pedant."

I'm a true communist, not of the Soviet Russian kind, or the Fidel Castro afficianado. But I derive my opinions and efforts in this world according to the better bits of Marx and English writing.
We are all equall in birth (that doesn't make us uniform, it's the basic rights)
We all should participate and work for a better future for ourselves, and for our neighboor.
For reasons we all know, communisme has a bad name, the sole reason for that is there is no communist state, nor has there ever been around the world. I would describe the former Soviet Union as fascists. I like the USA's constitution, it's communistic in my view point.

'Democracy' is starting to pick up that same unjust bad vibe as 'Communism'.
You can't force a people's revolution from people that don't want it.

The problem with democracy:
If you have a group of 10 people, nine people want to play football, so democraticly they choose to play football. But after nine games of football the one that actualy rather play's basketball will leave the group, for he has apparently no say in what their going to play. In Democracy as it works nowaday's the many supress the minority. The minority's voice is heard, but not reacted upon, because the majority is convinced their right, for they are the majority.

I think that's a bit of an exgagerration. True, racism is common in democratic countries, but is that a result of the political freedoms? That is a difficult question to answer.

It is not an exaggeration Tux it is total bollocks!
Never heard of positive discrimination?
So what's your fairer alternative to democracy? As far as I can remember Stalin prohibited the freedoms of speech, movement, association and religion.Great alternative!

I'm a nonconformist hippie. So my friends call me. (although it really doesn't take that much to be labeled a "hippie" in Oklahoma: everyone not a moderate or right winger is such)
On the communism vs. democracy debate, I stand firmly on the middle ground:
Democratic socialism. (like Norway and Sweden)
Here's the penguin's handy-dandy political meter:
Anarchy: so far left its not even on the meter
Communism: leftist, a good idea but humanity is still too stupid to pull it off (examples: Cuba, USSR, China)
Socialism: (democratic-type) democracy with higher taxes, more liberalism, and better healthcare, education, etc.; democracy with a communist leaning
Liberalism: like John Kerry-ish liberalism, the main spectrum of the American Democratic party; can be very left, or moderate-leaning
Moderate/undecided: the name sums it up
Conservatism: the beginning of the right-wing spectrum; based on the opposite of liberalism, like tax cuts and supposed "Christian values"; more defense funding, and fundamentalism
Far-right Conservatism: racism, inequality, rich get richer, poor get poorer; Bushism in some cases, but a bit further; very against gay rights, etc
Fascism: Nazi-ism, extreme right, conservatism to the max, but instead of "less government" it's "so much government you can't even breathe"

In the end democracy is the best alternative, I'm just saying that we must be carefull with the rights of the minority groups so their not overlooked or discarded as just a minority.

Moderate does NOT equal undecided. What state are you from, other than the state of confusion. I consider myself moderate. I'm certainly not undecided, there just is no specific political party that shares my views.
I'm not pro-abortion (ridiculous term), but I am pro-choice. A person can do with their bodies as they will, as long as it doesn't affect others.
I think Marijuana should be legal and TAXED... Let the stoners pay some bills... for once.
I believe people who rape women, molest children or victimize the eldery should spend their days rotting in a cell at their families expense (if the family is willing to pay for it). Do away with three strikes and only spend 20 years in prison, let's make it a gurney ride.
You want welfare? Okay, one year max. Have a child? You lose it and you WILL no longer procreate.
Mandatory sex education for all children 10 an over.... free condoms, birth control, whatever it takes to end teen-age pregnancy. Kids that can't buy alcohol, shouldn't be able to make babies they can't care for.
IV drugs users will get all the free needles they like.
Any persons of the same sex can apply be legally committed and have all the same tax breaks and benefits that married folks get.
Prog rockers will NEVER EVER HAVE TO PAY TAXES. Beware, test will be given and failures will be considered third strikes.
Peter Rideout will be named Professor of State. James Lee will draft the constitution. Dude will be in charge of the military and beer commission. JIm Garten will handle all Gov't parties and the set list. Certified will act as Historian of Prog Records. GDUB will handle the decorations and color coordination. 3F8's can handled the entertainment for the entertainers. Reed Lover will be piss boy with a chrome plated bucket. Maani will be assigned to mind everyone's P's and Q's. Max and Proglucky will maintain our refuge from the sh*tty things in the world. Ivan will handle foriegn relations. Dick will keep us straight on the facts and run the radio station. Cesar Inca will be Cesar and lead us in song.
Oh, yeah. The penguin can clean up afterwards, unless his mother says, "No."

Serious and thought-provoking, then very funny -- well done, ol' boy!
Poor pisspot Reed (give him a gold plated cuspidor and some protective goggles, too, you cruel despot) & l'il Pingu! Relegated to be mere lowly menials/rude mechanicals, in your brave "new order!"
Ha!
