RE lucid dreaming: I've been doing it on command for around a year now, the scariest thing that usually happens is sleep paralysis (where you can look around, but you can't move your body, and you usually hallucinate because you're essentially dreaming with your eyes open. The first time it happened to me was when I got home from a school camp and fell asleep on the couch, then there was some guy in my house in front of me staring at me and voices talking behind me.) All I have to do to stop dreaming/wake up is scrunch my eyes closed really hard and then blink open quickly.

I've had a few naturally, but mild. Like randomly "oh sh*t, I know this is a dream" then wake up.
Sometimes it would go for a second or 2.

I know that feeling! The most clear lucid dream I had was WEIRD and kind of freaky

I've not been able to induce lucidity yet, but I have had sleep paralysis on a few occasions and it is indeed quite scary.

Yeah, I KNEW I was dreaming but it continued on for, idk...probably a few seconds. The part I was aware of was me walking through my dorm room, to the computer, and on the screen was my body laying there.
I woke up, freaked out, and for a second or two had the sleep paralysis. Felt myself fight to move, but couldnt and couldnt talk and couldnt really see.

Then got up normally. Ermm

I've been frozen for a good hour at least.  You struggle to move, to keep your eyes open, even to breathe.  It all seems like part of the dream though.

I've had one natural lucid dream that lasted for quite a while and was very vivid.  The most vivid of them all was an out-of-body experience that I had in a dream, it was horrifically vivid and very disturbing.

I had to spend the last 3 days with my 12 and 10 year old cousins. I turned them both into Porcupine Tree and Gabriel-era Genesis fans. Smile

Also, there were other things happening around me that were from the dream, but I was stuck in the sleep paralysis.

Mhmm.  I distinctly remember it, I was visiting my cousins and staying on an air mattress in their basement facing their bar.  I remember eventually coming to a point in my dream where I was facing the bar again but could hardly move, I struggled to even blink or breathe.  It went from barely any light to morning brightness that ended up waking me up.

It's depressing to see how happy and successful everyone else is.

You don't find the happiness of others depressing? What's wrong with you?

I bought a small bottle of Jameson whiskey for those kind of nights. I haven't had to use it tonight (yet)!
