This is tough ... these two bands are highly individualistic and there simply are not many that can copy them. Many have tried and the Hawkwind copies are nothing but Metal Thrashing and most of it lacks the cohesiveness and the inner strength that Hawkwind carries time and again. That simple.
The closest thing to it is Nik Turner's stuff, who is of course, a part of the original Hawkwind.
Before I heard it, I thought that Acid Mothers would fit well with Hawkwind, but they don't ... because AM has too much thrashing for the sake of thrashing and has no softness which is something that Hawkwind has a lot of as well.
Gong will forever be Gong and there is no other. The Gong offshots you can check out off their website are pretty good and cool, and I happen to like Gilly's stuff (Even as we Glo ... or Mother Shiatsu ... or some of her Live stuff) ... but it's hard to not appreciate some other stuff that is in there, inclusing the trippy stuff that Daevid does with Glissando and all that.
For another "gong" to come around, they need to have a strong internal constitution and design, and most rock bands to day do not, and are depending too much on DAW's to create stuff ... and most of them do not have the literary, or education, to do anything else but rock songs!

Definitely Early Guru Guru; albums like "UFO", "Känguru" or "Hinten" should be right up your alley. Early Amon Düül 2 too.; "Phallus Dei", "Yeti", "Tanz der Lemminge", "Wolf City" and "Vive La Trance". Clearlight's "Clearlight Symphony" and "Forever Blowing Bubbles", the albums of their guitarist Christiian Boulé", "Photo Musik" and "Non-Fiction". too. The first album of Here and Now, "Give and Take". The first two albums of the Cosmic Jokers, s/t and "Galactic Supermarket". Ash Ra Tempel's s/t, "Schwingungen" and "Join Inn". And do you know Nik Turner's first solo album "Xitikntoday", recorded with half of the Gong crew as guests? That one is a must-have for you.

Heh, you've chosen a few of Hawkwind's classic songs, you won't find much music like it as Hawkwind are looked down upon by many people and imitated by very few. A couple of bands I'd recommend are Mr. Quimby's Beard (British psychedelic/space rock that is a bit like Hawkwind and Ozric Tentacles) and Circle (a Finnish psychedelic/krautrock band who have a wide range of styles, from the minimalistic kraut-inspired Fraten to the stoner/space-rock Sunrise). If you like the space theme you might appreciate Ayreon, although they take it in more of a prog-metal direction.
