The championship match you've all been waiting for! Xanadu greets his opponent nobly, and turns to the crowd to do the same. Mei mentally prepares himself, ready to take his first swing. That mental preparation proved important, because as Xanadu approached, he misjudged the length of Mei's halberd. However, the weapon only gets lodged in Xanadu's fine plate mail armor, and it is stuck. Xanadu smashes Mei in the neck with Dreamline's pommel. Mei manages to thrust his weapon in deeper into the cut, hitting skin. Xanadu responds by striking his foe in the same way and in the same spot, leaving an ugly mark but not drawing blood. Mei dislodges his weapon just as Xanadu bashes him a third time. Finally Mei scores a decent hit, ramming the shaft of his pole arm against the bridge of Xanadu's crooked nose. He may have just broken it. Clearly angry and taken aback, Xanadu bares his teeth and slices into Mei's midsection, doing an immense amount of damage. Mei fights back weakly, but defends himself very well. It is a very close match as both fighters are winding down. With instinctive precision, Xanadu runs his blade into the same hole he previously made in the challenger's armor. Mei swipes and hits him with his halberd, dealing two amazing hits. It could go either way! Finally, Mei stumbles on his third attack and leaves himself open from behind. Xanadu ends this close match with one more clean swing of Dreamline.

Mei did get a natural 20 in the match, but he only rolled a 1 for damage, so it didn't do anything (Xanadu wears plate mail). LOL
