Damn, I was Ninja'd.  I was about say there is no point buying a buckler for that character.  He can still buy one but he'll have to use it for another character or risk using a different weapon and a shield for this character and losing the weapon proficiency bonus.

You cannot use shields with a pole arm...it's always a two-handed weapon, and it actually serves as a buckler on its own (10% chance to block).

Ah, I wasn't sure if you rolled the stats with a D10 or D20 or something, like my mate does in DnD.  I was lucky on my last level up with my Dwarf, as I got max HP. Big smile
