Epignosis' post search Cracked.com and in that thread there was a written something from the people at Cracked.com that mentioned "occasionally smoking meth amphetamine" as a side-joke, like it was done by everybody. So I thought that was stupid of them. Sorry, Dean

My guess is he's referring to the article I linked to on the first page of this thread. It mentions meth in the introduction sarcastically.

If any individuals get a PM from a stranger who is interested in you and wants to get to know you better, absolutely do not contact as it's part of a scam.

What a wonderful world ! In a way , its better to concentrate on musical matters as the past threads that have involved politics (a waste of waste), drugs (to each his own) and other inherently contraversial material has been way too unpleasant. When people ask my religion, my sexual preference or my political beliefs, I always answer "None of your business", especially to nosy customs officials like the one dingbat in Houston who asked me "Why do I live in Calgary?" What do you mean WHY?

If I may raise a serious question here at the risk of shocking everyone here who have read a few of my posts, I am a little cheesed off to see a certain new thread locked up, mainly because I didn't get the opportunity to make my own witty post but hey, rules are rules.
So a point for clarification, since we are a forum of many members from many countries, where is the line drawn for what can be discussed and what can't? As in: what country or countries get to set the legal standards by which the policy is enforced? To get to a specific example which got me thinking about the question, If all countries except for the USA were to make marijuana use legal, would it then be acceptable to discuss openly? If only the the US were to and no others, what then? What about other polarizing issues like Israel/Palestine?
I am of course referring to the Phelps thread. Feel free to substitute "file swapping, polygamy, speeding", etc. for marijuana. (Perhaps that I raise these questions is plenty good reason why I must never be promoted to admin status.)
From the Site Rules & Guidelines:
5. No Illegal activities. Posts and threads promoting or facilitating file swapping, drug abuse, or any other forum of illegal activity are not permitted. Any such posts will be deleted |

My interpretation of that would be something along the lines of... "Anyone living in the Vancouver area, if you want crystal meth, call my dealer number at 9-1-1..." sort of thing.
I think we should be able to discuss things as long as they don't stir up attention from any official sources. For example, we could talk about the effects of drugs, but let's not go telling new members they can get 'instant collab' status if they tape a video of themselves shooting up a double dose or something.
Besides... everything short of murder and treason is legal in Canada.

This thread is a SCREAM!
I'm inspired, so I'm going to go score some salvia online, fire up the old flamethrower, torch up the old bowl & blast out some tunes like "Baby's On Fire" and "Burnin' Down The House" at full volume while I have some fun!
All legal of course, based upon the website posted above.
And then I'll start a new topic thread to talk about it!!

The Liquor store clerk coiled and scoffed.."I DON'T have herpes!!
"No, no", I said.."that's not what I asked"... "I wanted to know if you had a hair-piece?"

Generally I would think that it's OK to diskuss anything, providing no illegal and/or immoral activities are canvassed.
More difficult would be who decides by which criteria canvassing is judged.
Might I suggest an objective gremium consisting of one Taliban fundamentalist, 1 women's rights activist (female), and two disabled atheists (1 mental, 1 physical)?
