Not to mention Cosmic Voyager. "Egocentric Molecules" has one of the best guitar solos that I've ever heard.

YEAAAAAHHHHHH .....!!! Thanks a lot Hierophant, Bluetailfly!!!!
I have requested him to be featured in this site long time ago. Also:
- Keith Emerson solo
- Jerry Goodman
Max, could you help please? I think JEAN LUC PONTY deserves his presence here. And, I will make a review on his album with a labor of love. I love his music man ....!!!
Regards,
Gatot

My best is Aurora, with the piece "renaissance".
Much better album than cosmic voyager, which is rather cold
and uninspired.

Agree with Oliverstoned, Aurora is an absolute progressive masterpiece, by far Jean Luc's best album.
We did a similar thread some time ago but will vote for his inclusion again.

Yes! Why not Jean-Luc Ponty if ProgArchives includes other Fusion bands like Mahavishnu Orchestra????

Jean-Luc Ponty as a solo artist and with Zappa and MO. I cannot believe he is not here either
Sometimes I wonder if the admins think this music is strictly jazz. That goes for Nima and Merge too. Why aren't they here guys? What is the reason?

I agree.
Enigmatic Ocean and Imaginary Voyage are especially magical albums.

GRRRR!!! I LOVE Ponty and he is not strictly jazz either. VERY fusion stuff. The electric violin and the spacy soundscapes mixed with some fiery progressive fusion from extremely talented musicians. It doesn't get much better in the prog-fusion genre. I could see it if he had done a lot of post-bop jazz or straight rock or something but his music is mostly nothing but good to fantastic prog-fusion.
Please Max, add a superb artist to this superb site.
