The Sunday line-up is great.I'm going with a friend who mainly wants to see ELP as he has never seen them before but also 3 of his favourite bands are also on (Wishbone Ash and Uriah Heep on the prog stage plus UFO on the classic rock stage). Talk about spoiled for choice.

Sorry, I haven't read all the thread, but do you know if there's any chance this might be televised like they do with Glastonbury, Reading, and many of the other festivals, etc..??

I've not seen anything about it being televised. Probably not mainstream enough, we are talking about some prog bands here.

I know, progheads are treated like some secret sect, you find out they are there in the upper echelons, like James May, Bill Bailey, et al, yet it's all very hush hush, cloak and dagger stuff...

Not a massive surprise, but Heaven and Hell have cancelled due to Ronnie James Dio's illness.

For those of you going, I sincerely hope the rumours of ELP cancelling are untrue

Yeah, ELP are the main reason I'm going. If they cancel, will not be too happy. Refund?
Apparently there will be an announcement at 10am today with the headline act, which I'm assuming is to replace Heaven and Hell.

'fraid not - it's Joe Elliot playing a second set, but with Ian Hunter; which means he plays one set doing cover versions of Hunter/Mott songs, followed by another set with Ian Hunter... presumably doing Hunter/Mott songs

I can't find anything about this. Exactly where have you heard or read this?

As I say, it's rumours - check out their Facebook page (where there's an interesting debate going on about the drinks prices too)

It's just a rumor, it's not true. The latest line-up (posted a few minutes ago) had ELP in it.

Let's face it - this late in the day, there'd be a riot if ELP (or ZZ Top for that matter) cancelled.
Also prog fans please note - Opeth have been moved from the Prog Stage on Sunday to the Metal Hammer stage on the Saturday (replacing Venom, who cancelled).
If you bought Sunday tickets to see Opeth, apparently exchanges are available - check the High Voltage website.

You've got your days muddled up Jim. Opeth were on Saturday and have moved to Sunday.
Now I just have to get Transatlantic moved as well...

Next announcement to be made this Wednesday at 10am apparently... As far as I gather, they're announcing the act to replace Opeth on the Saturday, still awaiting confirmation for who's going to replace H&H.
For such a high profile event, pretty shoddy.
