^not very concise ones yet, but I don't feel I'll really like this even after repeated listens. It certainly has a lot of potential and some very unique moments, but I don't get much from the album.

I feel the same way. Cynic is undoubtedly a talented band (and I love the work the Sean and Paul have done with Death), but their music does almost nothing for me.
