Well Henry, I can't vouch for others, (but one day I'll have the power!) but I'll grant you this much:
Just because I say does not make it funny indeed...however, that comment doesn't even phase me.

When is anything funny/enjoyable to you?
Like a pass out in the gutter drunkard telling me I drank too much....who can take that seriously?
Seriously Henry, drop the act. And if its not an act, you're going to have one miserable f*cking life.

I don't even care what your biting, cynical, sarcastic totally mind blowing comment will be....so waste time if you'd like

So on that note, who wants to discuss implementing a flat tax?

I know it sounds great, and is "fair" since all are subject to the same tax rate but isn't it inherently unfair to those at lower incomes?

Jampa, I'm waiting for you to have Anna Paquin in your avatar. Any chance of that happening?

When it's not stupid and annoying? I don't know, what I do and do not find annoying doesn't seem to me to be that difficult to discern. If you read SR, I spend most of my time posting links to things I like...

Also, dean clearly agreed with me that this thread is stupid so you can stop pretending I'm a unique Debbie Downer.

I agree with Rob's comment Wink  And yes most of the stuff I see you post on SR, Henry, is pretty f*cking stupid.
And as for Henry and Dean's comments, this thread may be pretty dumb. But look at the sh*t on this site. I think like 90% of this damn site is dumb. I bet Dean remembers how great this site used to be, ya know before the days of Henry being here..interesting Wink

Now let's cut this childish crap and focus on the metal.
I saw a girl wearing a "Death" hoodie. The fact that anyone knew them, and a girl above all, I HAD to break my anti-socialness and talk to her.

I'm going to listen to Scream Bloody Gore, because it's pure Death Metal!

I remember when all this was fields as far as the eye could see, where the only sound was the sound of skylarks ascending into the sky for a lark, to gain an aerial view of the rolling hills blessed by the fresh kiss of the rising sun on a bright spring morning, where pheasant and partridge would scurry among the gorse bushes and hare and rabbit would graze upon the dew soaked meadows of verdant grass and scented buttercup as the first rays of the sun brushed over the rising mist that rolled gently across the grassland while a lonely deer would look up, startled by a wily fox that stalked the tender cotton-tailed prey, then return to its morning meal as the fox was no threat to itself, yet the rabbits, equally alert to the predatory dangers inherent in such a bucolic idly could sense the deer's apprehension and dash for the protective cover of a nearby woodland copse, to unnerve squirrel and badger that did forage in the undergrowth beneath the leafy canopy, shadow dappled and green by the filtered light streaming between overhanging branch and bough to wake a well-fed owl that dozed sleepily, quietly digesting its nighttime feast of hapless dormouse, caught unawares by the silent beat of owlish wing as raptor talons snatched it from this world and ripped its lifeblood, eviscerated and disembowelled so that nothing remained but a memory, a discarded regurgitate pellet of fur and bone and a mild case of avian indigestion. Ah, yes, I remember many things.

I, for one, hate this new emoticon.  Slow it down a bit and maybe it wouldn't be giving me seizures, just leaving the one remaining problem: metal's ever steady encroachment

Time always wins.

Tis true, however you can not stop the metal.
EVER

Oh, and Dean I figured some response like that. I understand why, but you know this place is 1/50th of its former greatness. So many great people, threads, and well look it now. You know this site is not the same, though you cant say it.

It hasn't changed, you have. This answer is true on almost any forum when someone is complaining about the "golden days". You think our current political discussions are annoying? Do you remember this abomination of a thread?  I'd much rather talk about health care and religion than that...

And to respond to your previous post: spamming isn't going to improve anything.

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

“Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

I've got a side project in the queue first.  And I really want to play clarinet on it (except 1. I do not own a clarinet, and 2. I have never played a clarinet).

But I wonder what the avant crowd here would think about it if I tried anyway...

^ If you want to make an avant record, it would be better not to know how to play your instruments... Wink
