I have an assignment due in less than hour. Yay! for procrastination, or did I really have to hang out with friends?

@Rob: But the New Testament was written in Greek, if I'm not wrong.
The ancient people never used words as parts of a fixed grammatical construct, but as very flexible means to interpret. Any translation must aim for the direction the original author was aiming, instead of the direction of some wanted universal meaning. Otherwise it's not a good translation.

There are places throughout the whole Bible where "the good guys" are called by these terms. Peter is called Satan (i.e., an adversary)- see Matthew 16:23.
Also, people wonder about David taking the census in the Old Testament. One book says God moved him to do it, and the other says Satan did. It tickles me to see theologians and scholars work through all sorts of literary gymnastics with this one. But I see the meaning as very clear- God was acting as David's adversary. There was no malevolent demon involved at all.

That's nice, but - you shouldn't talk about the "whole" of the Bible as there isn't such a thing, really, from a language point of view of course. At least the two major parts of it (O & NT) are completely different things in this respect. - I'm really interested only in the New Testament because there's where the hard core of Christian stuff is.

I disagree on both counts, but Chinese food has arrived!

So in that case it's settled you're not a TRU Christian right? Hope you enjoyed the food, yesterday evening I made this year's first vegetable soup, to celebrate the coming of spring. Good Morning! Who's in?

^ Oh but that's not so late.
It's eight minutes past noon here.
Also, will you review some albums in the near future? I miss your reviews.

I meant three in the morning, good sir...and reviews. Heh. You flatter me. UM...I got about a dozen in my head, but I seem to operate on Syd Barrett rules: An idea every minute, never enough time to finish them off, whether they're good OR bad. Probably best, since I'm sure most of them are bad.

Well, it's all relative I suppose...
Anyway, although writing a review would be a better use of my time than replaying "Don't Stop Believin'" on Youtube all night, I do think I shall get some sleep before my eyeballs fall out of my head. Who knows; perhaps The Bass Player That Shall Not Be Named's name (...which is NOT Les Claypool OR Cozy Powell) shall come to me in a dream...
