I can help with some bands name from Czech republic or Slovakia, to be added in near future if is ok to PA of course (sad if not). I know someone from my countyry mentioned you few day ago about Votchi, similar with Uriah Heep, Deep Purple with a good doze of prog music. here is the myspace http://www.myspace.com/bandvotchi. This band can easy enter at heavy prog, quite unexpected great band, and very young aswell. I will tell you aswell abot other bands from your country maybe you heard or not.

Yes, they're from Yugoslavia (so it's today's ... ?), so let's focus on Czech (or Slovak, after all, I have access to both countries) bands. And anyway, Buldozer is already added, so... Jablkoň, let's suggest this band, it will be interesting. |

One of my favourite classic bands a Slovakian one (Collegium Musicum), I certainly hope there's lots of talent left to discover in this area of the world.
I'll stay tuned |

This thread's purpose is simple. To discuss Iva Bittová ADDED to RIO/Avant IVA
BITTOVÁ UPDATED: 7.9.2010
I also wish to see some suggestions of Czech bands. If you know them, go post it here please. Anything sounding Prog will do. Even slight glimpses of Prog, but don't suggest typical Rock, Metal bands, because I personally know hundreds of them, so I'm not interested in common bands, but rather in Czech Prog. Even being from Czech Republic, I don't know everything. The bigger the country is, the easier it is to add something REWARDS for those willing to help me: 1)You will experience I dare to say unknown music from "not one of the major Prog countries". We're just 10.000.000 people, but we have enough interesting music to satisfy your needs. So that's it, new experiences. I may post in this thread, because these bands have one thing in common. Nobody knows them here and they are all Czech. Or make separate threads, but I would prefer first choice. So what do you think about this idea ? I've tried to do this about half a year ago, but I abandoned it after not making it possible to work out something. The important thing is being interested in this and having time. But I suppose that after all, we all are doing this "PA thing" for free. -Martijn M. Edited by Marty McFly - October 06 2010 at 07:20 |
