It appears that the first thread that I started was the 2007-2008 NHL Thread. Thumbs Up

No, no, no, that was stereotypical emphasis.

My earliest topic that I can track with the search seems to be this.

Same question, though: what's so special? I mean, it died after only 6 replies, but at least the last guy, rupert, wrote an incomprehensible message.

It does also highlight how I used not to space after punctuation marks, at that time. LOL

Yeah, I went through a period where I just spent a whole lot of time on here.

I'm pretty sure I've out-posted Ben and even Harry; I still have the record for most posts in a day. Tongue

I just have more of a life now than I used to... I guess. LOL

Having a life isn't a bad thing, but neither is shredding. Smile

Well, the reason I said "I guess" is that I don't really have a life now either. Tongue

You and Jared aka Fandango are the only ones I know from that thread.  Not even a post from resident Marillion expert E-Dub.  I wonder if it preceded his time here.

That's always funny. Especially the first thread you open in the Prog Forums, that's always something to remember LOL

"Genesis vs. Yes", with the first phrase "Sorry if this has been done before".

What's so special?

Seeing how you once were a total n00b is always fun, especially when you're a veteran. LOL

If I saw my newbie self posting I would probably try trolling him nowadays. He was such a wimp.

LOL

My knowledge of prog was very peculiar when I first joined in, even now I can't not smile when I remember Smile

I have listened to at least 16 hours of music since Friday, does that count as having a life?

No, sorry.

I actually haven't been listening to enough music lately, going to have to fix that.

Nothing's wrong with it, it just doesn't count on its own as having a life. Wink

I haven't had much to do all spring break besides listen to music, I have found a lot of great music though.

The third thread that I started was the rather infamous add Phil Collins thread. I got a lot of blue ink from Ivan on that one.  I think that it was the thread that got me promoted however.

At least with two years, I think.

EDIT: he was in by early 2006? That can only mean he wasn't very active in his first year or so.

Indeed it is.

Well, you're lucky. I've had quite a bit going on in my life lately, a good amount of it unwanted, so I've been spending time resorting everything and trying to get stuff back together. It's been mostly successful, but it's meant that I've been taking a break from many things that I normally do. Only today am I finally going back to my old routine, to an extent.
