Hey there,

My name is Mike and I'm starting an account so I can find some new progressive music to get into and so I can find a place to post our music as well.  We're a 2 man progressive rock band from Austin, TX and are looking for places to play - no surprise there.

Any and all suggestions for great stuff to check out is more than welcome.

Welcome
Really don't mind if you sit this one out.
My words but a whisper, your deafness a shout.

We play stuff like this:

Our other songs have lyrics.

Our biggest influences would probably be Tool, Muse, King Crimson and Old Delta Style Blues...but there's so much awesome stuff out there now it's hard to list any one genre as they fuse together and morph into things all their own.  We like the math metal of Meshugga but there's also the amazing feeling and blues stylings of artists like Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson.

We continually try and push ourselves in hopes of evolving our sound around the mathematical progressive elements of epic bands like KC but somehow interject old school blues in there as well, as we love both.

Hi Mike, welcome to the site, and enjoy your stay.
What kind of music are you into?
Les mains, les pieds balancés
Sur tant de mers, tant de planchers,
Un marin mort,
Il dormira

- Paul Éluard
