^ great album.. good soundtrack for me as I fuel the internet firestorm over the death of that Georgian luger..

can you believe they are blaming the luger ...

If a less skilled athlete makes the run, and doesn't execute properly, they should end up with several additional seconds on the time of his run, and should lose a chance at a medal.

They shouldn't end up losing their life.

That's funny... I was just going to come in here and post the same exact album.

It's easily been over a year since I've heard that album. So great to visit them again.

Well, I was disappointed by the T-Bone Walker cd (I expected raw blues and experienced instead a mix of jazz, blues and rhythm n'blues that doesn't work for me). And I skipped to a collection of John Lee Hooker's songs issued between 1955 and 1959 (more than 50 years ago ! and sounding as fresh today as when it was recorded)

Yeah... Compare the two bolded bits from the official statement:
Originally posted by <a href=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/olympic_games/vancouver_2010/luge/8513794.stm target=_blank><b>BBC</b></a> BBC wrote:

"The technical officials of the FIL were able to retrace the path of the athlete and concluded there was no indication that the accident was caused by deficiencies in the track.
Based on these findings the race director, in consultation with the FIL, made the decision to reopen the track following a raising of the walls at the exit of curve 16 and a change in the ice profile. This was done as a preventative measure, in order to avoid that such an extremely exceptional accident could occur again."

They are contradicting themselves! If the track was safe then why modify it?
"Music is much like f**king, but some composers can't climax and others climax too often, leaving themselves and the listener jaded and spent."
