I think I may be one of the only people in my building not watching the super bowl right now.

I sent a message to Cuneiform Records to know if they plan to reissue Miriodor's Rencontres, Self-Titled and Third Warning... I'm intrigued.

Yeah, my parents aren't watching it either.  I'm lucky, my roommate's gone for the next couple days, so it's not being blared in the room.

Hmm, I need to meet someone from a prog band...or Udi Koomran.  Unfortunately, no bands are around me and Udi's the whole way over there in Israel.  Maybe Echolyn will come to Penn State sometime to hang out with me. Big smile

I don't think I've ever seen a single second of it. LOL

I've been working on album stuff all day anyway. At this rate, I very well could be releasing the sucker tonight. I couldn't be more excited.

Sweet!  I've been playing around with my bass and Audacity, via the converter I got to plug in an instrument cable to my mic jack.  It's not great sound quality, but I wasn't expecting much.  I've recorded a basic bass line and some very basic percussion (muted strings FTW) so far and I'm working on something to spice it up a bit.

My band. I've been working on compositions for it for 4 years now; we've already released 2 albums (though technically it's more like 1 album split into equal parts) and I just now finished the long process of a new album.

I've been working on material for this one for about 15 months, and I feel like it's 9000 times better than what I've already done as I have much more experience as a songwriter and an editor/producer.

I'm sure you'll know when the new one's out, I'm hoping it'll be tonight.

Sounds awesome. If you ever need any advice, let me know. I now finally consider myself pretty familiar with Audacity. Maybe too much, haha.

I'd love to hear anything you come up with as well.

Everything's free from my website. Though I am setting up a donations box later along with my slight website re-vamping, after dinner.

I recommend that you don't listen to samples from the "Anima" series as they're extremely dependent on being in the album format. I also think it would be better to wait for the new album to come out; and then if you're interested, you can gladly download the back material.

I have to check tonight to see whether all the download links still work and everything. They should.

I've also met Rouge Ciel's member. I've spoken with them for 10 minutes or so... They were kind too, but we didn't discuss much.
I'd love to meet Jean Derome, André Lussier, Joane Hétu, and other members of the Québécois avant-garde scene.

If all goes well, I should be back in a few hours letting everyone know. If you're not here, I'm sure you'll catch the buzz tomorrow.

I'll make sure to let you know.
