3 out of 4 ain't bad though I did underestimate how lost Tom Brady is without videotaping Wes Welker.  What a horrible game that was though. Four awful AFC teams played this weekend, shame two had to survive

As for Playoffs Week 2:
AFC:
Chargers over Jets - Shame the Jets don't get to play Indy this week because they really do match up well against them and might of had a shot.  They certainly don't against the leagues hottest team.

Colts over Ravens - Let's face it: the Ravens won because the Pats run defense is so bad they allowed Junior Seau to leave his retirement home and start for them.  The Colts are an incredibly overrated team (look at who they played this season) and we are talking about Peyton in the playoffs (that track record isn't too solid) but the Ravens can't live on Ray Rice alone against an above average defense.  I also don't believe that the Ravens defense is equipt to shut down a real passing game (no, NE does not have a real passing game and the only time they did was 2 years ago).

NFC:
Vikings over Cowboys - Don't be fools by the Boys romp at home over da Iggles, that was supposed to happen (I mean; when are we going to get rid of this "It's hard to beat the same team 3 times" myth, it only happens every year).  The Vikings didn't go into the playoffs the way they should have, this is true, but they run a solid and, more importantly, a simple system that only needed a bi-week to regroup.  It should be a fairly competitive game but in the end Romo makes a few more mistakes than Favre and they will prove costly.

Cardinals over Saints - Yep, I'm picking a team that game up 45 points this weekend and here's why: The Saints look great on paper but they flat out stunk their way home in the last few weeks and can't be riding a wave of confidence into the teams first playoff game since before any of the guys who are on the roster now were with the team.  The Cardinals, on the other hand, just put up 45 pts offensively and are still riding last years playoff momentum and confidence.  In an odd way I think the shredding by the Packers will help them prepare for the Saints offense.  This game will either end up a shoot out but the Cardinals experience pulling it out for them in the end or the Saints simply won't show up at all, much like the Pats this week.

All this "Baltimore Ray Rices" crap is annoying. We don't have a #1 receiver and Flacco still has a ways to go so of course we are going to run the ball.Mcgahee and McClain contribute as well to the running game and those two and Rice are getting great blocks from one of the best O-lines in the game. There are a lot of teams in this league that would kill to have a back as talented and versatile as Rice.

I do worry about the Colts tearing up our secondary next week.It was nice to see the defense step up and play like they did against the Pats though, they reminded me of our much vaunted defense of old.And only 3 penalties for a total of 15 yards, that was a shocker.

All Rivers has to do is play a lousy game, like Tom Brady just did, and The Chargers are Toast!.

But not teasing when I say......there is little in Football that gives me more pleasure than watching Aaron Rodgers lose.  Can hardly wait till next year to watch him lose some more.  Clap

Yeah, being a Wisconsin native, I kind of wanted them to win, especially to keep the chance at Brett Favre and Minnesota to beat them again. I knew Arizona is hard to predict...doormat one week to unstoppable force the next. Well next week I am taking all the home teams. No way is the Ravens or Jets capable of beating the Chargers or Indy at home and hopefully the Vikings will get past the very tough looking Cowboys(fingers crossed) and honestly...who knows with the Saints or Arizona

Week 2 winners for me.

Chargers
Colts

Cowboys
Saints

I'd pulling for the Cards and Vikes, but think the Saints at home will be tough.  OTOH, the Vikes are the Gods of the choke and as much as I love Favre for his heart, and for putting up the best numbers of his career to shut up his naysayers, even he can't stop the Vikings curse.  I think the Cowboys will win fairly big.

The Ravens happen to have a great record on the road,so I don't really see that as being a big factor.

The Ravens do play Indy tough all the time too, so here's hoping they do win. I am tired of hearing what a god Peyton Manning is and would love the Ravens to stick it to them. With that said, I wish a could feel confident about their chances, but Indianapolis is REALLY good.

A lot of bad things and bad calls would have to happen to Indy for the Ravens to win.  I don't put it past Peyton to play like Peyton of playoffs past but as long as he doesn't throw a bunch of INTs and his defense slows down the Ravens' run and screen game the Colts should win easily.  To be fair, I do hate the Ravens but I have watched them play a lot of games this season and I can honestly say that their 10 wins (including this last weeks) are more the result of extremely weak opposition than anything they are doing right.

Oh, and Steelers haters: Pop a champagne cork because Bruce Arians has been retained as Steelers offensive coordinator.  At least one more year of pretty season ending stats with no actual production, yeehaw.  Guess Ben has moved on from caring about winning to wanting to put up yardage numbers.  Who needs points and time of possession in their favor anyway?

I guess my depression has worn off sufficiently to talk about football again.

-Chargers over Jets: I actually don't think this we be a blowout, but clearly something would have to go very wrong for the Jets to be able to win.

-Colts over Ravens: Even with his playoff spotiness Peyton will pick apart the Raven's secondary.

-Cowboys over Minnesota: I actually think the Cowboys dominate this game. With Minnesota's O-Line problems I think the Dallas defense will run the show. I've never considered the Vikings a legit team anyway.

- Cardinals over Saints: The Saints should have lost 2 more games then they did. The flaws in their team are obvious. It'll be a slugfest and the Cardinals will come out on top.

A 3 hour football broadcast only contains 10 minutes and 43 seconds of actual playtime.

I've always suspected watching an entire football game was an enormous waste of time, but it's nice to see it scientifically confirmed. ;-)

Discharging T.O. keeps looking better and better for Dallas since so many thought they'd be lucky to win 7 without him.  I think the pressure is on the Vikes, personally.  Should be a tight game.

Not that I have any credibility.  LOL  Last weekend was the biggest piece of football suck I've had since the Giants beat the Pats.
