EW! Why is there even the circle in the middle? Why does the color on the bottom of the P and A fade out when there's no gradient on the rest of them? Why even have the top and bottom of the letters white at all? What on earth are those extending lines for?

I can't say that I was ever a big fan of the old logo (gradients!), but it's much better than this one.

That was why I wrote symapthy as well. There seems to be two schools to thought with many members here. Either don't change what is established and safe, or it does not matter anyway. It was a generalisation.
