Mostly Steve Vai; but also Terry Bozzio; Aynsley Dunbar; Jean-Luc Ponty; and I think Mike Keneally played with him too. Wasn't there also another fairly famous stunt guitarist that played with him.

The keyboard playing those arpeggios towards the end of Peaches En Regalia used to be my favorite part of the album. I haven't listened to it in ages, I don't know what I would think of it now that I like actual jazz.
Possible titles:
Vander got run over by a reindeer
Festive joy drowned in dissonance
Eggnog for RIO/Avant
Ring in the new year with RIO
Joel's Resolution: one million posts!
We bought the sweater out of spite
Santa Baby [SR Baby?], a Captain Beefheart CD too
I saw mommy kissing Yog-Sothoth (That's from a Youtube song but it's still good for those who have read that Lovecraft short story)
That's all I got for now. I spent a little too much time thinking about that, but that's OK because this Wax Audio album is really good.

Oh thats right - Henry, does John Zorn have an entire album which sounds like Shaolin Spirit? (Its streaming on PA.) I've never listened to him, but yesterday I listened to that track >10 times when looking at his PA page out of curiosity.

I have to confess that just because I am one of the louder proponents of John, that doesn't mean I'm the most knowledgeable, and I can't really say anything about the contents of his filmworks albums because there are twenty-three of them and I do not have that kind of money and I refuse to pirate. The closest thing I can think of is The Dreamers and O'o, but that's much more surfy than that song.
