My nephew's 3 now, and we're doing a second Christmas at their house in Kentucky. Other than that, really no Christmas with young children anymore for me either.

It has been a while since I had a Christmas that included young children. I am talking about age, if it was maturity then I have lived with them my whole life.
Yes, I've eaten one of the best dinners in many years today. I still hurt!
But my heart is full.
Watching my son finally appreciate the concept of gifts (not just receiving them, but giving them and seeing others happy) has blessed me. He is such a sweet boy (well, except when he's hell, but we're working on that ). I could have not gotten a single thing today and I would have been delighted just watching him.

Ohi everyone, I'm finally done with all the family festivities of Christmas...glad to be home, but we're going to be on the road for ~8 hours tomorrow on the way to Kentucky to visit my sister.
