Probably Take a Pebble by ELP or
Bel Air by Can.

Haven't given this any thought really but I had Opeth's In My Time of Need at my wedding so I'd probably want to end with Closure or Death Whispered a Lullaby

Another option - that is if we want to drive everybody to tears - would be Heart and Soul by (the obviously not so prog) Joy Division.

Prog song: Snowman - Frost*

Non-prog song: The Theme From Thunderbirds (but only if I can have my coffin disappear down a chute as they play it).

I must remind the right honourable gentleman that a monologue is not a decision.

I would have to be sarcastic, even beyond the grave, so I'd have Bigelf's ironically named "Counting Sheep" be played.

The serious, sentimental side of me says "Easter" by Marillion.

But the irreverent child inside would prefer a scene more akin to the funeral in the movie "P.S. I Love You," which featured a version of the Pogues' "Fairy Tale of New York."
There is no childhood's end ...

I already posted my sincere side on this thread anough so to make the people laugh at my funeral I would play these songs in this order:

1. Don't Eat The Yellow Snow
2. Nanook Rubs It
3. St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast
Hurty flurty schnipp schnipp!

I'd have The Sheltering Sky (King Crimson) on loop until the funeral starts, then close with Eclipse (Pink Floyd).

In order:

Tried So Hard - Gong
Carpet Crawlers - Genesis
Throw Down the Sword - Wishbone Ash

But there's plenty of more time, around 70 years, maybe more.

Supper's Ready would be a great one...

However I have already selected these (non prog) - Into the Mystic by Van Morrison, the Parting Glass sung by the Voice Squad, and Coming Home - theme from Local Hero, by Mark Knopfler.

I had a serious think about this, and although it isn't prog, I want this played at my funeral.
