Cowboys will blow it again in the playoffs. |
Well that much I am sure of!

Yeah, its pretty amazing how it happens. But luckilly this didnt impact the game, and it does right itself usually.
So, whats the deal now? Vikings may not be who we thought they were! Eagles are scary, but quiet. Will the Cowboys blow it again? Can the colts go all the way? How bout them Chargers? Interesting few weeks ahead. Im still pulling for a Saints/Bengals bowl....

I know. I remember that non-call you just mentioned too. I was similarly amazed.
I know officials are going to miss calls, but these just seem too obvious to miss to me. I suppose it all evens out over the course of many seasons though.

It doesn't matter to the outcome of the game, but it still matters. That's a huge call the officials missed. If the game was tied that turns what should be offsetting penalties and a Giants punt, into 15 yards and a first down for the Giants.
The league will definitely fine him, but that's irrelevant to the issue.

@ Equality Meh, happens. How many times have you seen someone get hit, throw a retaliation and they get flagged but not the other guy. Or something like this case. Sh*t happens. I vividly remember a non call on some guy from the Pats that looked like he tried to stab Jacobs in the eyeball. Seriously, a bad ref call or non call?
I'm shocked. Yes, Jacobs shouldve gotten flagged. Not that it matters, what a sad game...

You'd think he might be, as they say, 'clued in'.

How much did the officials get paid off to not give Jacobs a penalty? |
You best be trolling. I think you are, because if you seriously mean that.... Besides JACOBS??? Giants never get any love. Anyway, only the Cowboys and Pats get everything called in their favor...
But really, this game is sad. 45-12. Eli, the run game, the receivers unstoppable. The defense should be tried with assault for what they did to the Redskins. I thought the Skins would lose, but at least put up an effort. Jeez. HOPEFULLY, the G-Men can use this for some motivation. The opponent blew, but maybe they can use this to start playing above their level. Its the right time of year.

Jacobs threw the first punch. How does he get off without a penalty? Haynesworth did nothing different than Jacobs.

Ol' Jimmy Zorn, yep he's just about there. I've been watching the guy for now 'round 'bout 30 years. Zorn to Largent was the high point. I think we just saw the low.
Let me clarify, he had to be thinking, "This will confuse everyone." He just forgot that 'everyone' is inclusive, as in his own team was confused. |
I could understand trying to sneak something crazy in. But to try it again AFTER the Giants called a timeout?? And it doesnt matter the trickeration you have planned, when there is a center and RB blocking for a kicker and everyone else 20 yards away. Im just glad that poor Kicker didnt get killed!

And my great fantasy day ends with the Carolina defense....who has played well most of the season.
REALLY impressed with this game. Getting pressure with just the D-Line, (sometimes only 3), good coverage, and shut down AP. Alot of people, (me being one of them) said yeah yeah Brett Favre...blah blah but how will he do in the stretch? He has just not played that well this game. Pressure aside, he did not look sharp at all. Is he beginning to crash another good season?
|
Vikes and Saints both seemed listless this weekend - maybe even bored. There's something to the "peaking at the right time" cliche the various network sports panels like to drop. Whoever can scrap their way out of the NFC East might have a shot purely on the basis of momentum.
Of course, I'm rooting for the Redskins to win out...
|
Nah...we've become so in love with this whole "16-0" season I think we forgot how VERY VERY VERY difficult it is. How many times do we see a bad team beat a top one? It happens (and the Cowboys DO have a lot of talent). Besides, maybe these guys are human and just had a bad game. The Vikings though have a problem. Their defense seems different since EJ is out and for whatever reason AP is not running well, and the offense around him is faltering. Also...is Favre collapsing again???
|
That said, I think the Colts will go 16-0. Pity they'll lose to the Chargers in the AFC Championship.
|
I'd wouldn't mind if the Colts win it all, just to see the Belichick response. |
I wouldn't mind from the standpoint of having the insufferable 72 Dolphin players shut their mouths forever more.
|
Didn't the Pats do that when they went 16-0 in the regular season?

Well....nearing half time. G-Men up 24-0.
Complete and utter domination thus far, on both sides of the ball. But, let's see how the 2nd half goes.
