My count is currently at four times, and the first was the most special, because I just stopped doing anything, put the headphones on, and listened in a trance. The effect was fantastic. I like Part I for its parts with surprisingly free or let's say malleable form. Mirrored in Part IV, it's less powerfull, and I think it doesn't end that well the epic (the last seconds, though, are fairly predictable, and good).

I like Fuhnerarium Kahnt. A friend who saw Magma play live said E-R is really, really dark - something I feel it in certain hotspots, but not overall. But the addenda, in form of Fuhnerarium Kahnt is in the hopeless, pitch-black zone of their music, and it struck me just like that. Superb, that's all I can say.

Other than Part IV and the annexed pieces, there's nothing arguable about E-R, it's really good. The first section of Part II is exactly what I wanted to hear from the old classic fragments, and it's sung with a good amount of flair, accents and emotion. Doweri wi loi, doweri wi loi, doweri wi loi, doweri wi loi, doweri wi rheu si... mmmmm!

There is though a three seconds fright, as the whole singing ends with a brutal shout (Du zeihne storme werden! - so I hear it as phonetically as possible), and it the context of the recent controversy, this does sound a bit fishy, and even Vander converts to what seems almost the Fuhrer's voice. Goosebumps!

Developement up to Zombies is also nice, and when that part kicked it, with the bass, I immediately though "descend an octave". And it did after seconds. I love the more bassy Zeuhl from Magma (such as Ork's Alarm, from Kohntarkosz), so these moments are gems for me.

As for Part III, I initially thought the first section drags a bit (now I think it fuels on to a new chapter pretty quickly, and well too), but the rest is also incredible.

I'm still studying the album, through repeated listens. One would say from the things above that I'm definitely impressed by E-R (which I am indeed), in a way this is better than most. I do however stick to K.A., mainly because it was a revelation, at the time I first heard it. Just like E-R, it has certain fragments that don't shine out, otherwise its Part I is spotless, and the best of the other three also combined to something asploding.

According to PA's rating system, yes.

According to RYM, for the moment I casted a 4.5 for it.

Which is the equivalent of 8.5 towards 9, out of 10 - I recently work with the 10-point scale, deluding myself it's a smaller clusterf**k than with the 5-star scale .

In reality (and inside Magma's universe), I'd put it somewhere between the two (4 and 4.5).

Actually, the device you are talking about is a Van de Graaf Generator.  For some reason the band screwed up the name.
