I know! People complain "oh my team hasn't won a world series in 100 years" But....we're the Yankees cmon! But hey Phillies are a damn good team. I live in PA and MANY of my friends are big fans, so we shall see how this all goes down...

Stupid Angels couldn't get one more win for me to push Sabathia back to game 3.

Game 2 should be interesting for BoSox fans with Pedro going. < style="border: 0px solid rgb255, 0, 0 ! imant; margin: 0pt ! imant; padding: 0pt ! imant; : transparent none repeat scroll center center ! imant; overflow: ! imant; : none ! imant; -moz--clip: border ! imant; -moz--origin: padding ! imant; -moz--inline-policy: continuous ! imant; width: 0px ! imant; height: 0px ! imant; display: block ! imant; : ! imant; text-indent: 0px ! imant; : auto ! imant; max-width: none ! imant; min-width: 0pt ! imant; max-height: none ! imant; min-height: 0pt ! imant; left: 0px ! imant; top: 0px ! imant; bottom: auto ! imant; right: auto ! imant; line-height: 16px ! imant; white-space: nowrap ! imant; visibility: ! imant;">

Sooooooooooooooo Mark McGwire is back with the Cardinals. I wonder if they fail to hit in the clutch next year if they'll pin it on him?

I can't help but think that hiring Mark McGwire as a hitting coach is a pretty dumb move. Yes, the guy had some natural talent underneath his steroid-induced power but he had a career .263 batting average and he struck out over a hundred times almost every season. He might be able to teach patience for drawing walks, but all of his walks were more of a result of his steroid-induced power more than anything else.

One of the local radio stations in StL had a former publisher/reporter from The Sporting News on to talk about this. He said that it was a good move due to McGwire's high OB percentage along with Slugging percentage but he agreed that McGwire did strike out a lot. He said that it would be good for McGwire to school the Cards younger players. I know that he can't school Pujols. If anything he could learn a bit from Albert.

Due to the fact that Ryan Howard can't hit left handed pitching....Keith Olbermann went on the air last night and said that the Yankees will win the WS.

He also couldn't lay off any pitch 10 feet above his waist or rolling in the dirt in the regular season. Doesn't seem to be true of him in the post-season though.

6-1 interesting way to start. I think the Phils have the better team.

Phillies win! Funny but one of the Toronto announcers who come on periodicaly throughout the game(we get the U.S. feed) says "Cliff Lee is to the Phillies what Geddy Lee is to RUSH" . Ah yes RUSH and baseball.

I love college. Literally the SECOND the game ends I hear slamming, crashing and people running around yelling go phillies. I was tempted to run around yelling "F*ck the Phillies!" but I'm afraid I would be killed on the spot Gotta hand it to him, Cliff Lee was damn amazing

Cliff Lee's coolness factor went up quite a few points for the pop-up he nonchalantly caught and the ball he caught behind his back.

Lee was brilliant, but it was the tack on runs in the latter innings that really killed you, the 9th inning would have had such a different feel if it was 2-0.
