Olympics on N/Sth American soil don't do us much of a favor, strictly time-zone speaking. The main events there will happen over night here.

I'd watch the Olympics if it involved a host of prog bands playing and not so much athleticism.

I always thought that summer in the Northern hemisphere was Winter time in the Southern Hemisphere.  Does that mean that the Summer Olympics will be played during the Brazilian winter?  Forgive my naievity, but does Rio de Janeiro have a winter, or is the weather pretty tropical year round?

It's RIO, so you'll get a lot of headaches from Zoyd & the rest. Wink

Rob supports Quarterbounce and Beer Drinking Contest as events for the 2016 Olympics.

They don't have much of a winter, no. Conditions will be fine, if held in August, as usual.

They disregard the 4 seasons generally. It's either G-string summer or bikini summer.

Maybe I'll just watch Rush in Rio instead.

Would you believe I've never played a drinking game ever?

Given that you usually drink alone, yes, I can believe that.  But maybe that is why you don't enjoy watching the Olympics.  Maybe if you drank a beer everytime the announcer said world record, you would enjoy them more.

Eh...I'd probably get more wasted if I drank every time someone started a new Porcupine Tree thread.

Are you ever on track with what's being discussed here, or are you always simply imposing your viewpoint? Wink

Pretty rudely actually.  I've only had it for a couple days and it keeps screaming "play me" at me, but I've yet to play it.
