I understood there was a free PFM download available, but had trouble with the translation as I am English and the group with associated websites are Italian. PFM understandably do seem to be aiming for their home market these days. Translation software on search engines does not always work either. Maybe I misunderstood anyway as the promise of free downloads can be a ploy to draw you into websites - which offer no such thing and could well be offering illegal/poor quality downloads in exchange for a credit card number. On the other hand it could be genuine. Can anyone suggest a solution apart from learning the language(s) in question? I am not multi-lingual, unlike progressive rock which musically does seem to transcend language barriers. Nor can I imagine I am alone with the 'problem' of language in progressive rock and its websites.

I've really had no problems with Google Toolbar's translation tool... I think its a great tool, though I've only been using it for a couple of weeks now.  Not sure if it works with "flash" sites.  I've been to thousands of band web pages and never found an "official" band website to be a bait and switch type thing to get a credit card number.. At the most, they request an eMail to put you on their mailing list, which I set up an account just for that..

I've just wizzed through the old and new PFM official websites and cannot see any download info.

The Old site has an English option, can't see one on the New site, but it appears to trasnalte okay using Google translatore

Next time, can you send me a PM with the link, and I'll have a look at it for you? I am a native speaker of Italian, but have no love for online translators. BTW, PFM are very popular with proggers here in the US, and brought the house down last June at NEARfest. They also speak rather good English, and I am quite surprised at the lack of an English version on their new site.

Hi,
IF this band is not making their website accessible to the English speaking folks, I will safely state that the folks that are currently working/running the band are probably not anywhere related to the success that this band had ... and is still living off of!
 
I would say something on the website on this and make noise ... I forgot the name of the guy that was a part of Nearfast and was related to these Italian bands ... deLuca or something like it ...
 
Stuff like this kills a lot of music ... and friendships ... I just think that it is a new person running the website and that person does not know english very well ... and that is not good! It also makes the band look "smaller" and not as "important" as it otherwise could be remembered and thought of.
 
Ohh well ... so much for PFM .... ciao baby! .... now I know the meaning of photos of ghosts .... it was old art and folks that never existed?
