Anderson & Howe locked themselves away until they'd finished writing it, Wakeman hated it & waved bye bye because of it, Squire & White played it, but hadn't a clue what it was all about - without a doubt, the most critically reviled Yes album (at least un

I like all the early Yes music but this album is the one I listen to the least, not because Ilike it the least but because of the time it takes to listen to in it's entirety.

Ok, firstly I am a Yes fan (though you would never guess) but Tales From Topographic Oceans is a little hard to stomach for me. The first track, Revealing Science of God is great , however IMHO after that I think the album tends to plod. It is an a

I don't have TFTO on disc, but my father owns the LP and I remember listening to it once... I thought it was OK, but far less interesting than other music Yes made... But after hearing your (Corbets) opinion, I think I'll play it again soon.

the main reason i think ppl give it mixed reviews is cos its so demanding. At first i struggles to get into the first track but by track 2 i was hooked and then on the second play it all sounded even better. Great album if you have the time for it.

Tales 1st tune was pretty good, but the remaining 3 songs only had bits and pieces that were interesting to me. Overall I thought it was a mediocre effort and by the 4th song I get a headache...
