Hendrix, Jimi - Band Of Gypsys CD Cover Art

Band of Gypsys.  No tramps and theives though.

I had the opportunity to purchase Nightcap, but purchased Fear of a Blank Planet instead that day as I recall.  Embarrassed

I had an excerpt of the Chateau D'isater Tapes in a box set I had.  Was really pleased to find out the the whole thing was available on Nightcap.  I think you'll find it a nice supplement to A Passion Play.  I read a review by someone who actually preferred it to PP.  I don't concur, but it's still about as good.  It doesn't have the silly bit in the middle, which I like even though a lot of people around here love to knock it.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

If my interest wasn't piqued then, it certainly is now, thanks. Smile

Wrapping up my Friday workday with a little this, which will resume Monday morning:

Wondering if you buy In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed (13:09) or Whipping Post (23:03) online at an MP3 shop online if they charge you the same rate as a short song?  Two tracks prog fans should definitely check out.

Generally, if an album has a low # of songs it will be very cheap in mp3 download, so a two track 36:00 album could be as cheap as $2.00 ...  Not all the time mind you, but the chances are very good. Big smile

Ghost Song - Jim Morrison/The Doors.

An American Prayer is an excellent album. Makes me wish Jim would have keep his house in order and lived longer. The Doors did right when they put music to Jim's spoken word.
